The entrance to this naturalized trail is marked with a boulder and engraved plaque, honouring Port Hope resident Ralph Hodgson for his devotion to war amputees. The plaque on the boulder reads "Ralph Hodgson Memorial Park, Ralph Hodgson, O.B.E. 1897-1948. Injured at Vimy Ridge, 1917. Awarded the Order of the British Empire for devtion to the needs and welfare of war amps and blind."
