Located on the east side of the Ganaraska River, this space is home to the Farley Mowat Boat-Roofed House monument. Farley Mowat is recognized as one of Canada's literary icons and a champion of environmental issues. His novels can be checked out at the Port Hope Library - Mary J. Benson branch nearby, where a bust honours his legacy.
