Wladyka Park

Rose Glen Road North, Port Hope

Parks, playgrounds, and trails open on the first Monday of May, weather permitting, and close on the first Monday of October. Any use prior to the opening date will be at your own risk.

The splash pad opens seasonally from mid-June to September and is open daily, from 10:00 a.m. until dusk.

Wladyka Park offers 2 adult sized baseball diamonds with lights and bleachers, permanent washroom facilities, covered picnic shelter (with approximately 8 tables), splash pad, and a play structure installed in July 2021.

The splash pad hosts 15 spray features on a concrete pad and an advanced recirculation filtration system. The splash pad is not supervised, please use at your own risk.

Splash Pad Rules

  1. The splash pad may be closed at any time due to inclement weather, operational requirements, or at the discretion of the Municipality of Port Hope.
  2. The splash pad is checked daily by Municipal staff to ensure it is fully operational before opening.
  3. The splash pad water quality is tested daily before opening and then at four hour regular intervals.
  4. The splash pad is generally open from mid-June to September from 10:00 a.m. until dusk, weather dependent.
  5. Children under the age of ten shall be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while using the splash pad.
  6. Children should be appropriately dressed for their age and toileting ability (e.g. swim diapers) to prevent fouling of the splash pad.
  7. Do not use the splash pad if you have any of the following: open sores, a rash, or are experiencing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  8. The use of appropriate swim footwear is recommended.
